Mr. Namey started his private practice in 1983 after rising through the ranks of central Florida’s criminal system as a prosecutor. He tried every sort of criminal case possible during his tenure at the State Attorney’s office and worked in every function available from intake, where the prosecutor decided the charges against the accused, to trial, where he prosecuted everything from shoplifting to capital murder.
He completed his tenure at the prosecutor’s office as Felony Division Chief for the 9th Judicial Circuit in Orange and Osceola Counties, Florida, after which he started John Namey, P.A., Attorney at Law.
